Programs that I use

  1. Freezer

Very great music player, everything is free and you can download music complete with metadata, free of ads, dark theme, cross-platform, very good peice of software.

  2. Brave

Brave is the best browser avaliable. It comes built in with a very good adblocker and tracker blocker, a dark mode is included and is the default, built off of chromium, meaning all chrome addons and themes are compatible. Brave also pays you for using it, which is a nice plus. It also has a crypto wallet built into the browser, letting you store etheruem based-coins, like BAT, LINK, MATIC, ect.

  3. Monero GUI

Simple free software monero wallet. Gets the job done.

  4. Electron Bitcoin Wallet

Good and simple bitcoin wallet, nothing sppoky.

  5. KDEN Live

A free software video editor, works well, pretty simple. Use this for basic video editing.

  6. Jellyfin

Basically a DIY netflix. Just torrent whatever you want to watch, and Jellyfin orginizes it in a very elegent and stylish way. It also fetches metadata like images, release date, descritpions, ratings, ect. Free software. You can set it up on a VPS or a homeserver and use it from anywhere too.

  7. Discord

A program I use very hesitantly. It's closed source, can't self host, has no end to end encryption, and a very generally bad userbase (just search up "discord mods"). But just like everyone else, I use it becacuse my friends use it. I'm not autistic enough to demand everyone around me use XMPP or Matrix just to talk to me, but the world would be better if people used Matrix instead of Discord. Whatever you do, don't download discord, just use the web app.

  8. Qbittorent

Very good GUI torrenting software. No botnets, no ads, not spyware unlike µTorrent. Free software. Just werks.

  9. MPV

Good free software video player. I like it better than VLC. Just werks.
